In Despatch N. 79 of March 25th. I am required to state if there are
any objections to Mr. Craufard Herr being appointed Belgian Consul at Hongkong. I have the honor to report for Your Lordship's information that Mr Herr quitted this Colony
some months ago for England, and that he is said to have retired,
retired from pursuits. Were he still resident here, I am
not aware
